With a dark and brooding color, the Renegade Ridge leads with resinous fir tips on the nose. Aromas of jam preserves, blue fruits and violets make way for a colorful palate. Under ripe purple fruits are carried by voluptuous tannins while a faint acid core fades beautifully into a briny, juicy, complex finish. This wine can be enjoyed immediately or cellared for 10 or more years.
2022 Archer's Edge® Vineyard Pinot Noir, 93 points, Wine Spectator
Boasting a deep purple hue, this wine offers hints of earth accented by clove, cinnamon, raspberry jam and cocoa on the nose. The palate is meaty, with chewy yet resolved tannins at the forefront, shadowed by a seductive and velvety structure. There’s freshness here, not unlike the first strawberry of the season. The signature basaltic minerality is discernible and there’s great balance between acid and tannin. This wine can be enjoyed immediately or cellared for 10 or more years.
2023 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
Bouquet of ripe plum, ocean breeze, warm spices, and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, luscious red fruits are balanced by elegant tannins, with a touch of brininess and mouthwatering acidity. The finish lingers with spiced oak and basalt minerality, reflecting its terroir-driven character.
